Lexicon AI Localizer is operated by Artcoast LLC. This policy explains how the app handles merchant and product data when installed in a Shopify store.
Data we access from Shopify
The app requests access to Shopify product data so merchants can generate product-card drafts. Depending on the selected product, Lexicon AI Localizer may read product titles, descriptions, handles, product types, tags, SEO titles, SEO descriptions, inventory context, vendor names, product status, and product media preview URLs.
Why we use product data
Product data is used to create reviewable localization and optimization drafts, including adapted product titles, descriptions, SEO titles, meta descriptions, keywords, structured product facts, buyer questions, GEO notes, and AI-search summaries. The app does not use merchant product data for advertising or unrelated profiling.
AI processing
When a merchant clicks a generation button, selected product content and workflow settings may be sent to the OpenAI API to produce the requested draft. The request is limited to the product and settings needed for that generation. Merchants should review all generated copy before using it in their storefront.
Data we store
Lexicon AI Localizer stores Shopify session data required for authentication, plus a per-shop usage counter for the free trial and monthly generation limit. The app also uses Shopify Billing for subscription management. We do not store payment card details; payment processing is handled by Shopify.
Product updates
The app currently creates reviewable drafts and copy/export output. It does not automatically overwrite Shopify product cards. Merchants remain responsible for reviewing and applying any generated copy.
Data sharing
Data is shared only with service providers needed to run the app: Shopify for authentication, product access, and billing; Vercel for hosting; Neon/Postgres for app database storage; and OpenAI for AI generation when requested by the merchant.
Retention and deletion
Authentication and usage records are retained while the app is installed or as needed to operate the service. Merchants can request deletion of app-related records by contacting support. If the app is uninstalled, Shopify access tokens are revoked and app access to the store stops.
Security
The app uses HTTPS, Shopify OAuth/session handling, environment-protected API keys, and a server-side database for usage records. Access to production systems is limited to authorized operators.
